The Boston Celtics have just reported on twitter that Gerald Wallace had an MRI, which revealed he has a torn meniscus.
Brad Stevens says an MRI has revealed a torn meniscus for Gerald Wallace. Says Wallace had been playing with pain for some time.—

This means Wallace will miss the rest of the season and will need surgery to fix his meniscus.
Derrick Rose tore his meniscus back in November and it was announced he would miss the rest of the season.
Depending on the severity of the tear, Wallace could return quicker than Rose.
This injury should give the Celtics more time to look at Chris Johnson and decide if he is worthy of the team option they hold on him for next season.
